To empower American and Ugandan youth by fostering mutual cultural understanding and promoting literacy, health and wellness, gender equity, and community engagement.
We award small-scale grants to our Ugandan project partners to carry out community projects by working together with American students and faculty.
Since 2010, we have sent over 70 students on month-long trips to Uganda, where they connect and make a difference by working with local youth in underserved areas.
We distribute reusable menstrual pad kits to girls, provide educational programs and materials for boys and girls, establish hygiene hubs at schools, and provide sewing machines for the local community to continue making reusable pads.
